Living history....

The image of Another Westerner represents a man of color that exists in a world of dominance by people of European decent. They would not acknowledge his presence, even though he contributed as many others did opening up the American western frontier.

The artist, Mr. Kay Little, Sr. a native of Baltimore, Maryland, "The port that built a city", has always enjoyed the cowboy and his environment. Consequently his military service ended in Colorado, where he and his wife decided to raise their family under the beautiful south western skies. Mr. Little continued his research on the history of the black cowboy and other people of color that was not taught in the 20th century american classrooms. The results of this continued research worked greatly for this illustrator to interpret and share with several schools, community organizations and special interest groups in the state of Colorado.
